His artistic style, which he calls "coloristic," has developed naturally over the years and is now very recognizable. As he says himself: "I didn’t find the style, it found me." This statement shows the natural and intuitive development of his works, which express strong emotions in both painting and sculpture.

Pakhomov’s works, known for bright colors and lively shapes, attract art collectors worldwide. Especially in the USA, but also in Europe, Russia, and Asia, his pieces have been shown in many solo and group exhibitions and have received great international recognition in various collections. His colorful and powerful style appeals to those who seek art that is both timeless and modern.

Besides being a painter and sculptor, Pakhomov is also a photographer, production designer, and cameraman. A key moment in his career was his work with director Oleg Kovalev on the film "Sergei Eisenstein. Autobiography" (1998), which highlights his versatility and creativity in different art forms. Noteworthy is his long-time role at the St. Petersburg festival “Message to Man,” where he created the recognizable face of the festival. From the series "Fantasy Worlds" (1994)

The paintings – in Pakhomov’s typical "coloristic" style – show dreamlike scenes, rooms, and figures. The abstract and simplified forms are not realistic but take you into another reality. This creates an atmosphere of mystery, mysticism, and surrealism. The viewer is led into a symbolic fantasy world that reminds of dreams, the subconscious, and the irrational. At the same time, the almost childlike depictions of the scenes resemble naive art, where academic rules are ignored for a direct and simple expression. This strengthens the impression that the scenes are set in a symbolic or imaginary world.
