Sergei Simkin, born in 1962 in St. Petersburg, is a Russian artist who has become an important figure in the post-Soviet art scene. His works combine painting and graphics, while also bringing in philosophical and scientific ideas. Simkin calls his unique style "Anatomy of the Universe," inspired by the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche and the geometry of Bernhard Riemann.

After studying drawing at the Repin Institute in the 1980s, he joined the Leningrad Free Artists' Partnership (LTSH) in 1989. In the early 1990s, he organized modern art exhibitions in St. Petersburg. A key moment in his career was his time with the artist group "Trihedron," founded with I. Pogunov and A. Melnik.

Together, they experimented with new forms of expression, moving away from traditional art styles. Simkin has taken part in many national and international exhibitions, gaining fame beyond Russia. His works have been displayed in well-known galleries and received international recognition. What makes Simkin special is his ability to connect art, music, and people in a harmonious way.

For him, music and painting are bridges that link people to universal forces. He views lines as "the movement of a point through the space of consciousness," offering a unique look into his artistic mindset. Simkin's works are not just visual experiences, but also journeys of sound and thought, taking viewers into new dimensions.
